Alice Read is a writer, copywriter and arts marketer based in the south east of England. She has worked for arts organisations for over 10 years and is a mother to one.

Her specialist interests include maternal bodies and (m)otherhood, as well as the digital world. She has an MA in the History of Art from Birkbeck, University of London and is a qualified copywriter dedicated to making the arts more accessible in terms of content and careers.

She spoke at the Maternal Bodies conference at the University of Birmingham in 2023 and has since published a number of pieces on the topic of motherhood for publications such as Art UK and Motherlore magazine.

Alice is currently Digital Marketing Manager at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art where she runs a graduate training programme and promotes the activities of the Centre.
